1. Agreement to Terms

Welcome to Soulthread. These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a binding agreement between you and AnchorResonance ("AnchorResonance," "Soulthread," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of our website at soulthread.talk, our mobile and web applications, waitlist and account services, Story Mode, Free Chat, character memory systems, and all related features (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using the Service, creating an account, joining our waitlist, or enabling optional extended content settings, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility & Regional Availability

You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By using Soulthread, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that all registration information you submit is accurate.

Soulthread is not available in mainland China. We may restrict access in other regions based on law, licensing, payment availability, or operational requirements. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with the laws of your location.

3. Description of the Service

Soulthread is an AI-powered interactive narrative platform. The Service may include scripted story experiences, free-form character chat, layered long-term memory, multi-character scenes, official intellectual property such as Still Here: Red Long Night, user-created characters (where available), and optional extended content settings.

Soulthread uses artificial intelligence to generate dialogue, narrative responses, character behavior, and related content. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, offensive, or inconsistent. The Service is provided for entertainment purposes and does not provide professional advice of any kind—including medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice.

We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, including characters, story chapters, features, models, or availability windows.

4. Accounts, Waitlist & Security

Certain features require registration or waitlist enrollment. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

You must notify us promptly at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised. We reserve the right to refuse registration, close accounts, or remove waitlist entries at our discretion.

5. AI-Generated Content & Fiction Disclaimer

Content produced by Soulthread—including character dialogue, memories, story branches, images, audio, and system responses—is generated or assisted by AI and is fictional unless explicitly labeled otherwise.

Characters do not have real-world consciousness, legal capacity, or independent judgment. Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is coincidental unless expressly identified as historical or licensed material.

You understand that AI systems can produce unexpected outputs. You use generated content at your own discretion and risk.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service. Prohibited conduct includes, without limitation:

Using the Service if you are under 18
Circumventing geo-restrictions, age gates, or extended content controls
Generating, requesting, storing, or distributing illegal content
Content involving minors or non-consenting real individuals
Harassment, threats, hate speech, or exploitation
Impersonation of Soulthread staff or other users
Scraping, reverse engineering, or unauthorized automated access
Interfering with Service security, models, or infrastructure
Using the Service to train competing models without written permission
Posting or sharing objectionable, abusive, or infringing user-generated content

6A. Zero Tolerance for Objectionable Content & Abuse

Soulthread has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. This includes harassment, hate speech, threats, sexual exploitation, illegal material, spam, and content that infringes third-party rights.

We filter and moderate user-generated content using automated systems and human review. Users can report objectionable content and block abusive users in the app. Blocking removes that user's content from your feed immediately and notifies our moderation team.

We aim to act on user reports within 24 hours by removing violating content and restricting or ejecting accounts that provide offending content. To report abuse, use in-app Report tools or email [email protected] with the subject "UGC Report".

7. Your Content & License to Soulthread

You may submit prompts, messages, character definitions, feedback, and other materials ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content, subject to rights already held by third parties.

You grant Soulthread a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt, and display User Content solely to operate, improve, secure, and support the Service, including memory retrieval, moderation, and quality evaluation. Where permitted by law and your settings, we may use de-identified or aggregated data to improve models and features.

You represent that you have the rights necessary to submit User Content and that your submissions do not violate law or third-party rights.

8. Soulthread Intellectual Property

The Service, including software, branding, official story IP, artwork, audio, characters, logos, and documentation, is owned by AnchorResonance or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

Except for the limited right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms, no rights are granted to you. You may not copy, distribute, modify, sell, or create derivative works from Soulthread materials without prior written consent.

9. Optional Extended Content Settings

Soulthread may offer optional extended content settings for users 18 and older. These features are disabled by default and require explicit in-app opt-in. Additional rules appear in our Age Policy and Content Preferences page.

Even with extended settings enabled, certain content remains prohibited, including illegal material and content involving minors. We may filter, block, or remove content and suspend accounts that violate these rules.

10. Purchases, Subscriptions & Refunds

Some features may require payment in the future. Prices, billing intervals, and included benefits will be shown before purchase. Payments may be processed by third-party app stores or payment providers subject to their terms.

Except where required by law or stated in a specific offer, fees are non-refundable once access has been granted. We may change pricing with reasonable notice for future billing periods.

11. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you violate these Terms, create risk for other users or for Soulthread, or if required by law. Accounts that post objectionable content or abuse other users may be ejected without prior notice.

You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute terms—will survive.

12. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, emotionally safe for every user, or free of offensive AI-generated material.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ANCHORRESONANCE AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID ANCHORRESONANCE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $100.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

14. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence apply.

Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at [email protected] and attempt to resolve the dispute informally within 30 days. Unless prohibited by law, courts located in Sheridan County, Wyoming, or the federal courts of the United States sitting in Wyoming, will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes not subject to arbitration.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice through the Service or by email.

Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.
