Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Soulthread collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our website, apps, waitlist, Story Mode, Free Chat, and memory features.
1. Introduction
AnchorResonance ("we," "us," or "our") operates Soulthread and respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal information when you visit soulthread.talk, use our applications, join the waitlist, interact with AI characters, or contact support.
This Policy applies together with our Terms of Service, Age Policy, and Content Preferences notice.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:
- Account and waitlist data: email address, region, product interest, optional message
- Profile and preferences: display name, language, extended content toggle, notification settings
- Conversation and story data: prompts, chat messages, branch choices, character memory artifacts
- Technical data: device type, app version, IP address, browser, timestamps, crash logs
- Usage analytics: feature interactions, session length, referral source (where enabled)
- Support communications: emails or messages you send to us
- Payment metadata from app stores if you make purchases (we do not receive full card numbers)
3. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide and maintain the Service, including memory retrieval and narrative progression
- Authenticate users and secure accounts
- Process waitlist sign-ups and send product updates you request
- Personalize characters, scenes, and recommendations within your settings
- Moderate content, enforce policies, and prevent abuse
- Analyze performance, debug issues, and improve features
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests
4. AI Processing & Memory Data
Soulthread's core experience relies on layered memory and AI inference. Your messages and story actions may be processed by automated systems to generate responses, update character memory, and maintain narrative continuity.
When you use Free Chat, Story Mode, voice messages, or image features, we may process the following categories of data: the text you enter; voice audio or its transcription; image inputs you attach for recognition or generation; character/scene context needed to produce a reply; and memory summaries derived from prior conversations.
The recipients of this data for AI processing are Soulthread (official) and AnchorResonance AI Corp.
Example: if you send “What happened last night?” in Free Chat, that message text—and relevant memory context—is processed by Soulthread’s official systems, with AnchorResonance AI Corp involved in generating a reply.
Memory data may persist across sessions so characters can reference prior interactions. You may be able to view, edit, or delete certain memory records in-app where the feature is available.
We do not sell your private conversations. We do not use your identifiable chat content to train public third-party foundation models unless we provide clear notice and, where required, obtain your consent.
In the mobile app, we ask for your permission before sharing personal conversation data for AI processing. You can decline; if you decline, AI chat and related features that require that processing will not proceed.
6. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
Waitlist data is kept until you unsubscribe or we no longer need it for launch communications. Conversation and memory data may persist until you delete it, close your account, or we remove it under our retention schedule.
If you request account deletion in the app, we start a 30-day cooling-off period. You may cancel the request in Settings during that period. After the period ends without cancellation, we permanently delete your account and associated personal data (subject to limited legal retention where required).
If your account has an unexpired VIP membership when deletion takes effect, that membership is forcibly cancelled. Paid fees are non-refundable, and any resulting loss is your responsibility.
We may retain de-identified or aggregated data for analytics and product improvement.
7. Security
We implement administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and devices.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port certain personal information, and to object to or withdraw consent for specific processing.
In the Soulthread app, you can initiate account deletion in Settings. A 30-day cooling-off period applies; you may cancel during that period. After it ends, we permanently delete the account and associated personal data as described in Section 6. Unexpired VIP is cancelled without refund when deletion takes effect.
Residents of the EEA, UK, and similar jurisdictions may lodge complaints with a supervisory authority. California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including knowing what personal information is collected and requesting deletion, subject to legal exceptions.

9. Children
Soulthread is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
10. International Transfers
We operate from Sheridan, WY · United States and may process information in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers maintain facilities. These locations may have different data protection laws than your home country.
Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses for cross-border transfers.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the "Last Updated" date and, when appropriate, providing notice through the Service.
